Goodbye POS, Hello Truck!

I basically told a few key people that if they found me a buyer for the POS, I'd give them a kickback.  Sure enough, a security guard came through for me!  Knock, knock, who's there? Someone to buy your car!  This woman shows up, looks at it, and asks to negotiate on the price.  K10,000.. K11,000... done.  She doesn't even take it for a test drive.  She tells me she would call me.  Hmmmm.... we exchange numbers and I'm crossing my fingers. She's an accountant at Angua Hospital.  Oh, please, oh please!!!

No phone call this morning, so I call her up.  She tells me she's at the bank in line and wants to know my surname for the bank check.  YIPEE!!  I tell her I really need to pay for my truck and the check will take too long to clear.  Can she make a check out to a third party?  She suggests I come pick up the cash. 

I drive to the bank, meet her outside, go upstairs, she hands me a very, very fat envelope.  I sign the back of the car paperwork and hand over the key.  We walk out together.  She offers me a ride, I tell her that it was okay - I needed to go to my bank down the street.  I get out my fancy butt cushion and walk down the road.  Up the stairs to my bank and I hand over K11,000 in cash.  I withdraw my money and get a bank check.  I send a text...need a pick up please! 

Damian's secretary, Jovita (she's a sister from a different father as we like to say.... long story...), comes and picks me up.  We head to the office and I dutifully hand over my bank check... the truck is MINE!  So, how did I get a hold of this beauty of a beast?  Damian's company had an internal tender and "he" was the highest bidder.  And so I got a truck at a good price and it has air conditioning and a radio and air conditioning and an alarm and air conditioning and it's diesel (way cheaper here) and did I mention it has air conditioning?!?!?! Oh wait... AND A YACHT CLUB STICKER!!!! BA HA HA HA!!!  No more sob stories to the guards!!

Sniff, sniff.... I already miss POS.  I need a cute name for the ute....Hmmm...... let me ponder....
