Hello, Monday

My mother emailed me today asking if I was alive. Well, that was the subject heading anyway. The body stated, "Email me if you are and tell me that you're ok.". I thought about replying back "Read my blog!" or "I just tweeted!" or "I updated my Facebook status five minutes ago!". I guess I should just be happy my mother dials up her AOL.... I emailed back. A lengthy one. And apologized for not sending one earlier.

I also got a BBM from my friend, Jen. "I'm having withdrawals! Is there a blog coming soon???". Lol! I just gave it a rest this weekend. I was busy!!!! Um, er, trying to beat Kingdom Rush on the iPad. I gave up on Wii games for a bit as I didn't want to get trigger thumb again. And the Wii Fitness dude has pissed me off. I'm so firing that trainer.

Today was exciting!!! Not!! I put off grocery shopping until there was nothing but a can of sauerkraut and a lone pack of Ritz crackers in the cabinet. So today I ventured out to Hero, Food Mart, Royal (twice), Edeliweiss, and Diamond. I'll send Sophia to Lottemart tomorrow for the final touches for the snack drawer. After all that shopping, I made BLTs for dinner. The bacon didn't make it into the cold bag and defrosted before I got home. They were yummy though. Mmmmm.... Bacon.

iPod has charged. One more Kingdom Rush game before bed... :)

Interesting article to read in the "Good Weekend" magazine in The Sydney Morning Herald, Saturday April 28 called "Just one more game" by Sam Anderson.

"... They are time-sucking, relationship busting, mind-crushing - and hyper-addictive - Sam Anderson on the power and allure of digital games. ..."

The SMH say you can read Good Weekend any day of the week on the SMH iPad app and you can download it from the App Store free - for a limited time.

Don't know if you can get Australian newspapers in Balikpapan but if you can subscribe to the Saturday edition, then, it has enough Australian, Regional and World content to give you a good read for several days.

I think you can even subscribe to an e-edition of the SMH.

See you later, I'm off to play Bejewelled - I've reached level 28 or 100 levels. lol!
