One Night in Bangkok

Last night we hung out at Khao San Road, and area of "hippies and budget travellers" (we fall into the latter category, fyi).  The ladyboys were out in full force, which made me feel quite inadequate, although they were entertaining.  Almost as entertaining as the Irish guy that was very, very (very) drunk, and kept coming over to our table, sitting down and rubbing my back.... He ended up wandering across the street to another restaurant where the waitress returned him to ours.  He was so drunk, he couldn't pay his bill and was chased down the street getting hit over the head by a plastic chair.  All the while the waiters tried to get other people to pay his bar tab (thought they were friends of his, but he was travelling alone).  He left his backpack behind, so they took that as collateral (although he was so drunk, I doubt he'll remember which restaurant he was in).  We heard as he was chased down the road by the staff he fell and face planted on the street.  He probably just slept in the gutter.... Oh, the nightlife of Bangkok....
